PMI ® Weekend Boot Camp

The PMI Weekend Boot Camps have been designed to get you to pass the PMI's PMP certification. The Boot camps will take place in our offices at 1 Carden Place, Aberdeen, AB10 1UT on the following dates. You will attend two weekend sessions and in between you will be given work to submit to your facilitator, which he will mark and return to you. Following the course, you will be given access to a series of online PMI style tests which will prepare you for the PMP four hour multiple choice exam.

The classroom days will start at 8am and run till approx 6pm. The sessions will include a mixture of instructor lectures, group exercises and case studies, interactive discussions and PMP® exam preparation.
At the end of the first weekend you will be given additional exercises and exam questions (combination of paper based and online) which you should complete during the week. Facilitators will be available for you to email with any questions or help you may require outside of the sessions.
When we think you are ready to sit the PMP® exam, we will help you complete the application form, which can sometimes be more daunting than the exam! The testing centres are located in Edinburgh and Glasgow and the exam consists of 200 multiple choice questions which you must answer within four hours.
Lunch, and refreshments will be provided and parking is available at the front of the building at 1 Carden Place. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

• Carry out a project appraisal and identify that the project will meet its objectives.
• Identify and assess major and minor risk factors that can affect the achievement of objectives for the project.
• Understand the contribution of improved project planning and control to the project management performance of a company.
• Understand Success Factors and Key Performance Indices (KPIs).
• Effectively simulate assembling and building a team to complete a project.
• Identify and analyse areas of their own leadership skills that need to be enhanced for effective project management.
• Specify and understand the implementation process for systematically monitoring and controlling the identified risks.
• Commence preparation of portfolio evidence and collection of competence.
• Understand the BoK and prepare for PMI's Certification programme.
