The objective of this four day course is for individuals to
gain a practical appreciation of the principles, tools and techniques
of project planning and control.
It is ideal for individuals who are new to projects or project
team members who require a basic understanding of Project
Management control processes. It has also be used as a refresher
course for project staff. The course is suitable for introducing
practical supervisors and professional engineers to project
control and management.

Principles of Project Control Course
ECITB Project Management Short Course Delivered by Adept
This intensive five-day course gives an in-depth review of the fundamentals of Project
Control. The core Project Controls disciplines of planning and control are comprehensively
covered, as well as related areas of cash flow management, risk and document control.
All terms and techniques covered in the course are compatible with BS 6079-1:2000, Guide
to Project Management and the APM Body of Knowledge.
The target audience is employees with industrial experience in engineering or projects
who are either new to project control, or are being prepared for project control roles, or
who require a refresher overview of project control principles, or relatively recent graduate
entrants to the industry.
Attendance on the Operational Project

Tactical Project Management Course
ECITB Project Management Short Course Delivered by Adept
This five day course guides delegates through the phases of
a project following the APM's Body of Knowledge. The course
is suitable for anyone who requires a working knowledge and
appreciation of Project Management.
It has been successfully used by delegates who have a basic
knowledge of project management and who may be working in
a project environment or experienced individuals who are new
to projects.
The course has been successfully delivered to a number of
multi-national companies as part of a project management development
programme. Successful completion prepares all individuals
for the APM Examination and Certification processes.

Technical Project Leadership Course
ECITB Project Management Short Course Delivered by Adept
A simulated case study is at the heart of this 5 day program. Delegates will have to use
Project Management and Control tools to analyze the case study and make recommendations
for future actions. They will review and improve their knowledge of Baseline Management
and Earned Value Analysis, Project Tracking, Analysis and Reporting and then use and
demonstrate this expertise to accomplish the assignments successfully.
The intent is to have the delegates apply their knowledge by analyzing a project that is in
trouble. They must determine the source and causes of the problems, what corrective measures
may be needed, and prepare report and recommendations to senior management.
The course is aimed at newly promoted and aspiring project managers, project engineers, supervisors
and project leaders other team members who wish to increase their knowledge of,
and performance in, the management of projects.

Strategic Project Management Course
ECITB Project Management Short Course Delivered by Adept
This five day intensive course gives experienced project individuals
exposure to advanced strategic methods and approaches to Project
Management. Throughout the course delegates will work in teams
to develop and finalise a project execution plan (PEP). They
also learn how to present the PEP to a project board or panel
of senior managers.
Prior knowledge of working as a senior project team member
is advantageous as is attendance on the Tactical Project Management Course.
