ECITB Project Management Short Course Delivered by Adept
Delegates will learn and understand the various models of project
and operational management competency. Through psychometric
testing, reports are produced for individual delegates, highlighting
strengths and weaknesses. With a series of simulations and exercises,
delegates are shown how to cope with conflicting team members
and how to deal with their own opposites.

Technical Bids & Tendering
ECITB Project Management Short Course Delivered by Adept
Delegates will learn and have a good knowledge of the overall
tendering process, from the Invitation to Tender to the Award
of Contract. Including the importance of market intelligence
to support the bidding process and how to develop and present
well structured external and in-house bids for competitive tendering
opportunities.
The course is two days and requires a high degree of participation
as delegates work in teams to prepare an actual tender. The
course will also include a session on estimating skills.

Project Employment Skills
ECITB Project Management Short Course Delivered by Adept
This programme concentrates on the processes involved in managing
and handling recruitment, appraisal and performance, taking
into account employees' legal rights. Delegates will be provided
with an insight into the employment laws that underpin recruitment
and performance management as well as learning the practical
and communication skills required to conduct these processes
effectively.
The programme will be highly participative, and will use
a variety of training techniques including group discussions,
questions and answers, case studies and workshops. Participants
will thus have maximum opportunity to discuss and absorb the
key elements of these important topics.
Safety & Employment Legislation
ECITB Project Management Short Course Delivered by Adept
Day one of the course provides an opportunity for delegates
to gain essential knowledge and understanding of the vitally
important subject of employment law and practice. The programme
will be participative with plenty of opportunity for delegates
to ask questions, analyse real case studies and discuss and
absorb the implications and impact of employment law for their
company.
Topics covered include: the distinctions between the rights
of employees and those of contractors, contracts of employment,
changing employees' terms and conditions, working hours and
holidays, avoiding sex and race discrimination, fair and unfair
dismissal, including dealing with poor job performance, ill-health
and misconduct.
The second day of the course provides delegates with a clear
understanding of their personal and corporate responsibilities
for health & safety management, together with the very
real financial, HR and PR benefits of effectively integrating
health & safety into the corporate governance and risk
management practices of their organisation.
Topics covered include: corporate governance, risk management
and loss control; the loss triangle and the costs of accidents
and incidents at work; the role of risk assessment and management
system models.
